Well, here we are at week 26. Some call him Mario, some call him Hank, but either way he is getting huge! I think he should be about 2 pounds now (so say the books) and his lungs are now capable of breathing air. He gets the hiccups at night sometimes now. We thought that maybe if we scared him his hiccups would go away.... we may be awful parents already..... Either way, it scared me more than the baby and his hiccups remained. Maybe the fact that we tried counts as something :) I still find it absolutely crazy that I have a baby inside me. And that the baby is going to come out eventually and then that means that we are parents. Life is just nuts. I love it, but man it is nuts!
I cannot believe how big and beautiful you are! This almost made me cry! You will be wonderful parents, just maybe go easy on the traumatic experiences....

I found your blog through Mark and Lauren Ducommen's and was reading some of it.. we're currently at the Jackson NTBI... and I saw that you were interested in cloth diapers! We cloth diaper and love it! Our daughter is 10 months and we've cloth diapered since she was 2 weeks old.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Mario is getting so big. I can't wait to snuggle with him. When I come home I am going to wear him in one of those baby snug things that go around your body all day! You are giong to be great parents. He needs to be ready for the real world anyway.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I kind of feel like that is your head but somebody else's body. Are you sure you didn't photo shop that?
Awe, thanks everyone for thinking that we're gonna be good parents! Marie, that is my head on my real body. It's so strange and I see it everyday, so you think I'd be used to it by now :)
ReplyDeletebamiller- I hope you guys are enjoying NTBI! We are planning on starting out with cloth from day one. Since we have to switch to disposable for one month during our jungle camp, we wanted to save all the disposables we got for that!
